Yes. All Instagram advertising is managed through Meta's platform. You need a Meta Business account even if you only want to run Instagram ads. Creating a Facebook account is free and takes 2 minutes — you don't need to use it socially.
1
Create a Meta Business Account
Required
Go to business.facebook.com and sign up. This is separate from your personal Facebook account and is required even for Instagram-only advertisers.
💬You can create a Facebook account just for business purposes — you don't need to add friends or post anything.
In Meta Business Settings, go to Accounts → Instagram Accounts → Add. Connect your Instagram Business or Creator profile to a Facebook Page.
💬If you don't have a Facebook Page, create one first. It can be a simple business page — it doesn't need any followers.
3
Create a Meta Ad Account
Required
In Meta Business Manager, go to Accounts → Ad Accounts → Add → Create a New Ad Account. Add your billing information.
💬You need a valid payment method added before you can run any ads.
4
Connect to AdUnifyr
Required
Go to AdUnifyr → Platforms → Click "Connect Meta / Instagram". A popup will open on Facebook — log in and click Allow. AdUnifyr never sees your password.
💬Make sure you are logged into the correct Facebook account that has access to your Business Manager.
5
Verify Connection
After connecting, your Meta card will show "Live" status and display your ad account name. Your campaigns will appear within a few seconds.
💬If you see ₹0 spend and no campaigns, it may mean you haven't run any ads yet in your selected date range. Try selecting "All Time" from the date picker.
